Living with a substance misuser can be difficult. EMPATHY is an anonymous service where strict confidentiality will be maintained. EMPATHY offers support and services for the families, friends and carers of substance misusers. It is open to anyone in the local community experiencing the effects of someone elses substance misuse.
We have a team of dedicated volunteers, all of whom have the relevant life experience. We have the ability to listen effectively and empathetically and help you to solve your problems. Our intention is to raise awareness of drug issues share problems and experiences and help to reduce drug related harm.
We offer a befriending service where you can get some ME time, Thats time for you to offload. (They say a problem shared is a problem Halved). We also offer an outreach service to people in rural areas with transport issues. We will meet you in our outreach van in a quiet neutral spot.
